Bringing Books to Life
An important part of the curriculum at Butterfly Landing is literature. We read specific books related to our theme and then complete projects and activities that are inspired by the story! Projects and activities are age appropriate and focus on fostering many skills, including fine motor, linguistic, gross motor, art, math, science and sensory skill development.
International Dot Day
We participate in International Dot Day! A few years back I had the pleasure of meeting Peter Reynolds, the author and illustrator of The Dot (local artist and writer from Dedham MA). We dedicate a week to this great story and “make our mark!”
Scholastic Books
Butterfly Landings Families are able to enjoy and order Scholastic Books! This is a great resource for families!
Home Setting
Home Setting: My home is a smoke free, pet free home, without a pool or trampoline. There is a large fenced in play yard and outside deck perfect for lots of outdoor play!
Senior Buddies
During the year, specifically Valentine’s day, we make Valentines for Foxborough Residents that receive meals on wheels, as well as Seniors who attend the Senior Center. We use many forms of art to create these one of a kind, handmade Valentines!
Birthday Celebrations
On or around your child’s Birthday we will have a birthday celebration! There will be decorations and the quintessential construction paper crown for your child to color and decorate!
